Please read through our terms and conditions carefully before placing any order with Sofas for France. On placing an order you are agreeing to be legally bound by these terms and conditions and you will not be able to proceed with your order until these have been read and agreed to.

SOFAS FOR FRANCE  This website is owned and operated by Sofas for France Ltd (‘we’, ‘us’ or ‘our’).  Our registered office is 2nd Floor, 145 - 147 St John Street, London, EC1V 4PY, United Kingdom.  Our company number is 5640632.

MEASUREMENTS  It is your responsibility to measure your room to ensure that the sofa you have chosen will be of the dimensions required.  You must also check that the sofa chosen will fit through access doorways, passageways and other areas of your home.  We will not accept any liability for any extra costs that may be incurred by you as a result of incorrect measurements.

COLOURS & FABRIC  While we will endeavour to display as accurately as possible the colours of our sofas and chairs, we cannot guarantee that the monitor’s display of any colour will be an accurate representation of any fabric colour. It is therefore your responsibility to request a fabric swatch sample and to ensure that the colour and pattern chosen meet your requirements.   We will not accept any liability for the colour or fabric chosen once the sofa or chair has been made to your chosen specification.

LEATHER  Our leather sofas and chairs are made from quality natural leather and may not be uniform in texture or colour.  Leather can mellow with age and exposure to sunlight.

DELIVERY   We will deliver your order to a ground floor level only unless prior arrangements have been made with us. 

It is your responsibility to inform us of the access to your property for a large removal lorry.   Additional costs may be incurred if, for example, we are unable to access your property with our delivery lorry and are required to use an additional smaller vehicle such as a van to access a narrow, steep road, or one with low overhead trees.

We will endeavour to deliver your order by the date sent out in our confirmation email.  Where we were unable to provide you with a delivery date in this email we will endeavour to deliver your order within 8 – 12 weeks. 

If you are unable to take delivery of your order, for whatever reason, on the confirmed delivery date, we reserve the right to charge you for a subsequent delivery. A subsequent delivery date may be delayed for a further 8 – 12 weeks.

PAYMENT   Payment may be made by UK cheque or bank transfer (BACS).  All prices quoted on this site are in British Pounds Sterling.  Payment by cheque is accepted from a pounds sterling account only.  Full payment is required at time of order.

CONFIRMATION OF ORDER   Our contract with you will take effect once we have received your order and full payment and we have sent you confirmation by email.

DAMAGE OR DELAYS   We can accept no liability in the event of manufacturing delay or for any loss or damage incurred by you through any reasonable or unavoidable delay in delivery or re-scheduling of delivery.

If we accidentally damage goods during our delivery then our liability will be limited to the repair or replacement of the goods.

RETURNS POLICY

All of our sofas and chairs are made specifically for you to your specifications. We are therefore unable to accept a return of these goods or offer a refund unless we have delivered incorrect or damaged items and this is noted at time of delivery.  In the event that incorrect or damaged items are delivered to you and you choose to accept delivery of these items in this state, then our liability is limited.

MANUFACTURERS GUARANTEE   All products will be covered by a manufacturers construction guarantee.  The guarantee does not cover fabric or cushions.  The guarantee does not cover fair wear and tear, neglect, abuse or misuse, loss or damage due to fire, smoke, water, lightning, sunlight, weather, corrosion, theft, accidental damage or loss or damage caused by a third party. 

In the event of a claim under the manufacturers construction guarantee, we will arrange to repair or replace the defective item at no charge.  Your guarantee will be with the manufacturer and should the part or item be no longer available, it will be replaced with an similar part or item at their discretion.
